London Police arrested two London males following a robbery investigation involving a video that was briefly posted to social media. The video was provided to London Police by a citizen on April 26, 2018, prompting the investigation. The video is evidence, and will not be released by police.
On Saturday, April 21, 2018, at approximately 4:00 am, a 25-year-old man was confronted inside a bank-machine vestibule at 101 Fanshawe Park Road East.
One of the suspects arrested recorded a video that shows the second suspect wearing a balaclava, and kicking the victim on the ground repeatedly, before robbing him.
As a result, Curtis Honselaar, 18, and a 16-year-old male who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, both of London, are jointly charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Robbery/theft from person with violence; and
Disguise with intent.
Both accused are expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
