The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) and London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) both announced today via Twitter, that they had reached an agreement on a new contract with Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services (STS).
Despite negotiations between STS, who represent the school bus operators in contract talks, and the boards breaking down as late as August 20th when operators refused to accept the boards’ offer, both sides got back to the table last Friday and were able to hammer out the deal.
The School Bus Operators Association, the School Boards, and Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services (STS) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement that ensures school bus service will be up and running for the first day of school. #TVDSB (1/2)

Not all contract terms are decided according to the TVDSB:
The agreement provides for an interim increase to support driver wages & the remaining contract terms will be determined in due course. The Operators, the School Boards, & STS wish to express their appreciation to parents, drivers, & the public for their patience. #TVDSB (2/2)
