Yesterday Canada’s Wonderland took the wraps off of the Yukon Striker – the fantastic new roller coaster coming to the park in 2019. The epic journey high above the park’s skyline allows the coaster to break three world records and promises the ride of a lifetime.
You will hang over a 90-degree drop for three breathtaking seconds… stare down 245 jaw-dropping, stomach-turning feet into an underwater tunnel… and then plunge at speeds reaching 130 km/h . You will soar through four dynamic inversions – including a complete 360-degree loop – the only one of its kind for a dive coaster.
It’s also the longest dive coaster on the planet at 3,625 feet (1,105 metres), so that means almost three and a half minutes of coaster terror! The trains feature floorless, stadium seating for enhanced visibility with three rows of eight riders.
World Records
1. The fastest dive coaster at 130 km/h (80 mph)
2. The longest dive coaster at 3,625 feet (1,105 metres)
3. Tallest dive coaster at 245 feet (75 metres) – includes underground
