Child Abducted, But Located Uninjured

On Sunday morning at approximately 9:15 am, a four-year-old child was abducted in the area of Barker Street and Melsandra Avenue. The child was abducted by a male suspect operating a beige/gold coloured vehicle.

Witnesses followed the vehicle and a short time later, the child was located nearby, and without any physical injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as an older male. He was believed to be the only person in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The vehicle has been identified as a gold or beige coloured older model Chevrolet Impala (four door sedan).

Police are requesting assistance in identifying the vehicle.

The investigation has been assigned to members of the Criminal Investigation Division.
