Fire At Downtown Park Causes $50,000 In Damages

Last night at approximately 3 am, members of the London Fire Department and the London Police Service were called to a park on South Street after receiving reports of a fire. Upon arrival, it was determined that the fire had taken place in the playground overnight.

The damage is estimated at approximately $50,000.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and police are seeking the public’s assistance.

Citizens can report suspicious activity and people to police, by calling 519-661-5670 or 9-1-1.

The investigation has been reassigned to the Street Crime unit and is ongoing.
