London Women Face Accessory Charges To May 26th Homicide

London Police continue to investigate the homicide on May 26th, of Dereck Szaflarski. The cause of death was multiple stab wounds, and the investigation so far has revealed that Robert Williams, the accused, and the victim were not known to each other.

Further charges are being laid in relation to the homicide. Julie Hudson, 41, of London, was arrested yesterday and has been charged with one count of Being an Accessory After the Fact to Murder pursuant to Section 240 of the Criminal Code of Canada. She will appear in court today.

Lorraine Sturdy, 60, of London, is also charged with one count of Being an Accessory After the Fact to Murder pursuant to Section 240 of the Criminal Code of Canada; she was arrested today and will be in court this afternoon.

Sturdy is the murder suspect Williams’ mother, while Hudson is a friend.

The investigation is continuing and investigators continue to appeal to members of the public for assistance.
