Police Respond to Fire in the West End

Saturday night at about 9:30pm, London Police were called to 1266 Riverside Dr. for a structure fire.

Police closed Riverside Dr. between Sanatorium Rd and St. Anthony Rd while London Fire Department personnel dealt with the working fire. Police requested the public stay away from the immediate area due to high volumes of smoke and for the safety of emergency crews.

There were no safety concerns for the public, and police re-opened the road a few hours later.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com
