York Street Bridge Open Again

The York Street bridge and the intersection at York and Thames are now open again.

Motorists and cyclists can access York Street from the west via Wortley Road and/or Stanley Street. This marks the completion of the first phase the York Street core infrastructure renewal project.

Beginning as early as this upcoming Monday, the second phase of sewer separation will begin, closing the intersection at Ridout and York in all directions. Pedestrian access and driveway access to surrounding commercial and residential properties will remain open. The intersection closure is expected to last until late August.

Alternate Routes:
Signs are posted according to the official detour route, which is Wharncliffe southbound to Commissioners, then Commissioners eastbound to Wellington, and northbound on Wellington from there.

Motorists and cyclists: Queens Ave and Horton Street remain open.
