89 Year Old Pedestrian Killed In Motor Vehicle Collision

Last night at approximately 8:15pm, emergency services were sent to the area of Huron Street near Sorrel Road in relation to a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

The collision took place in the eastbound lanes of Huron Street, just east of Sorrel Road.

Joseph Vernille, 89, of London, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation has been reassigned to the Traffic Management Unit and is ongoing at this time.

No other information has been released.
