Saturday, April 21st is Record Store Day, and time to get out into the London community and support your local independent record dealer. All around the world, special releases, good deals, and in-store performances, bring vinyl lovers out in droves to add to their record collection. It is a day that brings music lovers of all genres together, and ultimately, supports local businesses.
Expect line-ups. Expect fun. Expect comraderie.
These are local London businesses that you should want to support; plus, you can never have enough vinyl! Or maybe you should just replace your favourite record with a new, crystal clear, pristine, 180 gram better version of itself.
There’s nothing better than the sound of a good stylus, hitting the run in of a brand new piece of vinyl, and that moment of anticipation of the joy that the first groove will bring. It never disappoints you. Wether it’s a magnificent Bluenotes Coltrane, or a David Bowie Record Store Day Special Release, your eyes will close, your ears will open, and you will give your soul a little bit of fuel.

See you out there. Probably at Grooves. As a record collector, you have to make sure that you are friends with your local independent record dealer. Troy’s a good guy, and Grooves will be rocking all day long.
If you are downtown, make sure you stop at any of the businesses along the Dundas Place construction, and support them too, while the construction is going on.
