The London Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a deceased male on the banks of the Thames River in the area of Wortley Road and Stanley Street.
Last night at approximately 7:45pm, officers responded to the area after a citizen approached officers and advised them of a possible deceased person in the area. Upon arrival officers located the body of the male, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene before being transported to University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The post mortem examination today determined the death to be a homicide.
The deceased has been identified as William Edward MacPherson, 60, of London.
Police are investigating his activities since Monday, August 6, and are appealing to the public for information.
