Lane Reductions On Richmond Street

Lane reductions will be in effect at two different locations on Richmond Street. This work is required to install and test utilities to service new downtown development.

RICHMOND BETWEEN DUFFERIN AVENUE AND KENT STREET

Starting on Monday morning at 7:00am, for up to 4 weeks, northbound and southbound lanes on Richmond Street will each be reduced to one lane in both directions. Through-traffic will be maintained as the lanes shift their paths to accommodate work.

Sidewalk access on the east side of Richmond will be closed for up to 2 weeks. After that, west sidewalks will be closed for up to 1.5 weeks.

No changes to transit routes are affected. Both northbound and southbound London Transit stops at Richmond at Dufferin will be closed for the duration of the work.

RICHMOND AT OXFORD

Beginning Tuesday morning at 7:00am, for up to 4 days, northbound and southbound lanes on Richmond Street will be reduced to one lane each at the intersection with Oxford Street only. Left hand turns onto Oxford will be maintained.

The Richmond Street sidewalk is closed on the east side, from Oxford Street to 50m south of Oxford Street.

No changes to transit routes are affected. Only the southbound London Transit stop on Richmond south of Oxford will be temporarily moved further south during this period.

Motorists, cyclists and transit users should give themselves extra time to get where they’re going.
