London Man Charged In Suspected Child Pornography Arrest

Members of the London Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, along with the Digital Forensic Unit (DFU) executed a search warrant at a residence on Dufferin Avenue yesterday.

As a result of the investigation, a computer was seized, and more than 100 images containing suspected child pornography were found on the device.

Thirty-seven yea old Michael A Baarda, of London, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Unlawfully possess child pornography x 2;
Unlawfully access child pornography; and
Import/sell/distribute child pornography.

The accused is expected to appear in London court on October 22, 2018, in relation to the charges.
