London Man Steals Truck and Rams Two Police Vehicles, $30K In Damages

A London man is facing eleven charges after stealing a truck, fleeing police, and then ramming two police vehicles and a civilian vehicle, as the suspect attempted to flee in Southeast London yesterday afternoon.

Police responded to a report of a person at a car rental business on Wharncliffe Road South causing trouble, at approximately 12:15 pm. A man was allegedly attempting to use false identification and then became threatening towards staff.

When the police arrived, the man fled on foot. He hopped over fences, and ran into a nearby auto dealership where he then stole a pickup truck.

Police followed the stolen vehicle through a residential area, and eventually stopped the truck on Kingsford Crescent near Commissioners Road East. The suspect was arrested there without further incident.

During the incident, two police vehicles, a citizen’s vehicle, and a parked trailer were damaged by the stolen truck.

Bradley James Douglas Wilson, 32, of no fixed address, is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
