London Police Execute Largest Fentanyl Seizure To Date

The London Police Service’s Guns and Drugs Section executed a search warrant yesterday and made the largest seizure of fentanyl to date. Fifty grams of fentanyl was collected, along with cash, ammunition and other drugs from a hotel room on Exeter Road at approximately 5 pm yesterday. The Guns and Drugs Section includes members of the London Police Service, OPP and RCMP.

The following items were seized:

50 grams of powder fentanyl (Value $25,000)
192 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine (Value $19,200)
44 grams of cocaine (Value $4400)
100 X 9mg of hydromorphone capsules (Value $1500)
Approximately $13,000 in Canadian currency
50 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition

As a result of this investigation, Andrew Dwyer, 31, of London, and Roxanne Barker, 31, of St. Thomas, are jointly charged with four counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and one count of Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Andrew Dwyer is also charged with one count of Possess ammunition while Prohibited contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Both of the accused are expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
