Man Charged With Assault And Forcible Confinement After Sobey’s Incident Earlier This Month

The 39-year old man who was involved in the incident at Sobey’s earlier this month was charged yesterday with three offences.

As a result of the ongoing investigation about the July 17th incident, and after consultation with the Crown Attorney’s Office, it was determined that there is evidence to support charging Phillip McLaughlin of London with assault, forcible confinement, and causing a disturbance.

The accused attended London Police Headquarters on July 30th and was released.

He is scheduled to appear in a London court on September 12th, 2018 in relation to the charges.
