Many Cancellations Sunday at London Airport

If you’re flying out of London airport today, or expecting someone to arrive, make sure you check with the airport as there are many cancellations due to the weather.

The airport tweeted Friday that they expected delays over the weekend, but have not posted anything specific about today’s cancellations on their website or twitter feed.

The city and surrounding area have been hit hard by freezing rain since Saturday afternoon. It caused several power outages, including one in Old South that left more than 500 London Hydro customers without electricity for a short period of time.

Environment Canada expects the freezing rain conditions to continue until around noon today, when it will turn to rain.
