Last night, more than 3500 athletes from all over Ontario, gathered at TD Waterhouse Stadium for the opening ceremonies of the 2018 Ontario Summer Games.
The thousands in attendance watched the young athletes enter the stadium to start their Games, and were treated to musical performances by Courage My Love and Scott Helman. Dignitaries in attendance included Brad Biederman, Sariyah Hines, Sylvia Jones, Harold Usher, Bill Merrylees, Carson Lumley, Damian Warner and Alex Kopacz.
Kopacz is the reigning Olympic 2018 Gold medalist in the two-man bobsleigh event, and lit the 2018 Ontario Summer Games torch to officially begin the competition.
