Police Looking For Witnesses to Marijuana Dispensary Robbery

Last Friday at approximately 10:30 pm, the London Police Service responded to a report of a robbery at a marijuana dispensary on Richmond Street. Officers arrived to find the business vacant of customers and staff members and determined that the incident had occurred approximately 20 minutes prior to the police being notified.

Witnesses in the area reported multiple armed suspects entering the business and robbing both the customers and the staff members present. The number of suspects, the status of the weapons involved and the specific property that was stolen, remain the subject of the on-going investigation, which is being continued by the London Police Street Crime Unit.

“Our initial investigation at the scene indicates that a white, four-door newer model sedan, possibly a Hyundia Elantra, was seen leaving the scene following the robbery. Our investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who may be able to provide information about this vehicle or any of the suspects involved,” said Det. Sgt. Blair Harvey.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.

This remains an open and active investigation.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com
