Two Teenagers Arrested After School Break-In

Two youths were arrested after a school on Viscount Road was broken into and vandalized yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday at approximately 4:30pm, the custodian of the school located at 617 Viscount Road, was working inside when he heard loud noises coming from the second floor. The police were contacted, and officers attended the school to investigate.

Upon arrival, two suspects fled from the officers through the school yard but were apprehended shortly after without incident.

Multiple windows, a computer tower and cement block were damaged, with a total of approximately $4210 in damages.

As a result of the investigation, two London male youths (aged 14 and 17), who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Failing to comply with an undertaking; and
Break enter & commit mischief under $5000.

Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
