Bare Bear Bones

May 3, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - May 13, 2018 @ 10:00 pm

$15 – $28

he Palace Theatre/London Community Players presents “Bare Bear Bones” by Michael Grant, produced by Cindi Armer Almeida and directed by Diane Haggerty.

The show: What happens when a couple, who’ve been married for 25 years, find themselves to be empty-nesters? Their children are married, with successful careers. Their social life used to revolve around their kids and all of their conversations were about their kids. Then one day their kids are gone. They look across the breakfast table and feel like they are strangers. Because of the Women’s Network, and a guest on a favourite show, Ruthie (Heather Weitzel Nash) suggests to her husband, Norm that they go for marriage counselling. Norm (Michael Davidson) reluctantly agrees, and even more reluctantly, agrees to follow the discount marriage counsellor’s advice. They decide to go camping, and return to the Bare Bear Bones campground, a place that they haven’t been for 15 years. Bare Bear Bones Campground holds so many wonderful memories for them. It was a special place for them, and their family. When they wake up in the morning, they can’t believe their eyes. They’ve changed and so has Bare Bear Bones.

A hilarious comedy. Empty-nesters, trying to rekindle the spark in their marriage, return to the campground of their youth in a broken-down tent trailer. Things have changed at the campground since their last visit…when all is exposed…everyone is in for a surprise and a lot of laughs.
